We are back from a lovely, relaxing holiday on Kauai and ready to kick off 2013.

This month we have the following wine kits on sale:

World Vineyard Collection – 4 week wine kits sourced from some of the finest growing regions in the world.

The red wine kit on sale is Spanish Tempranillo– gorgeous ruby red in colour, this medium-bodied wine is Spain’s answer to Cabernet Sauvignon, with berry, plum and herbal notes running to a lush finish of tobacco, leather and vanilla. Serve with roast pork, roasted vegetables or lamb. The white wine kit on sale is French Sauvignon Blanc– a classic with crisp, refreshing flavours of grass, fresh herbs and citrus. Complements grilled vegetables and goat cheese. Both are $17 off the regular price this month.

 

Vintners Reserve – 4 week wine kits that continue to set the standard by yielding wines of excellent quality, flavour and aroma.

The red wine kit on sale is Vieux Chateau du Roi– a smooth, medium-bodied red wine with flavours of red and black berries, with notes of spice and oak. Serve with lightly spiced steaks. The white wine kit on sale is Piesporter– vivid fruitiness and lively acidity give this wine excitement and refreshment. This off dry white is perfect with seafood and chicken. Both are $15 off the regular price for the month of January.

 

Selection International French Rose is coming back!

This crisp, fruity, off-dry rosé has received many positive comments from consumers who have now had a chance to taste the fruits of their labour from last year. We are delighted to offer this wine earlier than in past years. This means the wine will be ready in plenty of time for Spring & Summer BBQ season and patio sipping. This is a seasonal release and you MUST pre-order to ensure yours. The pre-order deadline is February 15, 2013and the kits will be in the store in March.  The price made in the store is $170 and the price for the kit only is $124.

 

 

LE2012 January Vintages

The first two wine kits from the Limited Edition 2012 collection are in the store now! If you have pre-ordered we will contact you shortly to let you know. If you have not pre-ordered but want to make one of these, please let us know as soon as possible. These wines are always fabulous and always sell out!

Argentine Malbec/Bonarda is the red wine for January. A dark fruit bouquet with a rush of sweet fruit on the palate and a lingering tannic finish. A rich, bold wine that will pair nicely with richly prepared red meat dishes. Try it with the Lamb Sandwich recipe Winexpert has developed especially for this magnificent wine.

Argentine Torrontes is the white wine for January. Refreshing citrus & peach aromas. Fruity, floral & deliciously dry with vibrant acidity and plenty of body. Best enjoyed either by itself, or as a wonderful partner with smoked meats, mild to medium-strong cheese, and seafood. Try it with the Fig & Goat Cheese Tartlet recipe Winexpert has developed especially for this lush, aromatic wine.

Both wine kits are $185 each made in the store. The price for the kit only is $129 each.

The LE2012 wine for February is Portugese Aragones/Cabernet Sauvignon. If you have not pre-ordered, there is still time! Contact us by January 25 to let us know.
