Welcome to the first ever edition of It’s About Wine! monthly newsletter. It has certainly been a long, slow learning process for us – being as technologically challenged as we are! We now have a website www.itsaboutwine.ca that you can check out on a regular basis to find out our specials, sales and events as well as details and pricing on all the wine kits we sell. And we have a new wine software program that allows you to check your wine on-line, alerts you via e-mail when your wine is ready and lots of other good stuff. So, welcome aboard and let’s get on with the news!

World Vineyard Collection

The wine is ready to bottle in 8 weeks and, although quite drinkable at bottling, will benefit from a few months of ageing. Selection Limited Edition
These special wines are only available during their month of release and are immensely popular. February’s kit – the Italian Primitivo – is now available in the store. Our Primitivo juice comes from the Puglia growing region which is the heel on the boot-like map of Italy. It’s very hot in Puglia but the region receives a cooling effect from the Mediterranean which prevents the grapes from ripening too quickly. The dominant flavour of Primitivo is ripe raspberries. As it ages you will get plums and spice. The tannin starts firm but softens with age to become silky smooth. All customers that reserved will be notified, however, we do have a few extra kits for anybody interested. Don’t wait too long!
