April showers bring May flowers. So the saying goes. We should have LOTS of flowers in May! Actually, so far in April the weather has been pretty darn good. But it’s early yet! We have some wonderful wines on sale this month! And a couple of seasonal releases to tell you about. See below for all the details.

On sale this month:

Pink goes with everything!

The ultimate food friendly wine is back. With characteristics of both red and white wines, our crisp, off-dry Selection French Rose is the perfect pairing for any meal. This wine is a seasonal release and is now available but only until sold out. This delicious blush wine sells out fast every year so don’t delay! Call us today to order yours. The LE2012 April release is Italian Nebbiolo with Grapeskins. This is a wine of rare subtlety. Redolent with aromas of tar, rose, mint, chocolate, licorice and truffles, and rich, spicy fruit. Hints of cherries, violets, black licorice, and truffles play on the tongue with long-lasting flavour and a rich, chewy finish. Serve with red meats, stews, lamp shanks or osso buco. This gripping wine will begin to open up after six months, but the richer, more intense flavours will take at least eighteen months to show, with cherry and spicy dominating the long, fruity finish for five years or more.
